RunClever Tools

Training Session Builder

Our experienced, qualified and accredited coaching team spent months putting their heads together to create over 100 warm ups, technical exercises, fitness sessions and cool downs. For each of these we have in depth guides on how to complete them and information on how they help you progress. We also designed a tool to help you match up different elements to form the most beneficial and safe sessions for you.

Race calendar

We keep an up-to-date Calendar of the UKs biggest races and even some of the top international ones too in case you ever fancy popping over to Paris or New York to sample what they have to offer. There are sign up links to each of these races to make the process as simple as possible for you.

Best running routes for all major cities

Through local knowledge and running expeditions, we have set out what we think are the best running routes in the UKs 21 biggest towns and cities. Richmond Park, the Quayside, Roundhay? You’ll have to read to find out.

Guides to every race distance

What is the best way to run a 5km? All out from the start, gradually get faster, start slow and get into a sprint? Running a mile is not the same as running a 5km miles, which isn’t the same as running a 10km, Half or Marathon. At each of these distances there are right and wrong ways to handle a race and we can take you through everything you need to know to make sure you get it right.

Guides to running all major races

We’ve sent people out to run the 28 biggest Marathons and Half Marathons in the UK and they’ve set out what they’ve learned and the top tips for each of these races, so you know what to expect when you do them.

Injuries tool

Injuries happen, and it’s very annoying when they do. So we have a tool to provide general information about the most common running injuries, so you can be as informed as possible (please note nothing in this guide or the website as a whole constitutes medical advice, and a medical professional should always be consulted).

Running Glossary

The world of fitness is a minefield, you will hear terms thrown around either from RunClever, elsewhere on the internet or in the real world, that you won’t understand! No big deal, we hear new ones everyday too, and when we do, we research exactly what they mean and add them to our glossary. We take pride in the fact that no one else in the world offers one as big as us.
