Explore Injuries

The RunClever main syllabus is not by means the only source of information for our athletes. The main syllabus takes you on a journey from your first steps to being a master of fitness, however there are some things you may need to know at any stage. This is true for areas such as Clothing & Accessories, Technology & Equipment, or Injuries and Nutrition. Which is why we have tools to cover each of these at your own leisure.

Injuries are a unique area of RunClever, we want to help you as much as we can but have to be a bit more restrained as we are unable and unwilling to provide medical advice. What we can do is;

  • Provide official descriptions of injuries based on information available from sources such as the NHS, as well as symptoms.
  • Provide anecdotal information from our coaches about what injuries they have had and how they feel.
  • Provide information on injuries that are common to runners and the reasons why.
  • Provide information on the correct running form which acts as a method for preventing many common injuries.

What we can’t do is;

  • Provide any service or information where we a) diagnose an injury or b) recommend treatment for an injury.
  • Tell you whether you need to see a medical professional.
  • Tell you whether it is safe to keep running based on a potential injury.

Any concerns regarding injuries, or medical information sought should be directed solely to towards healthcare professionals such as your GP or Physiotherapist.
